DTN COMMENTS:  A light trade has developed in the major feeding states, 
with Southern live deals marked at $233, roughly steady with last week's 
weighted average, basis Kansas. Dressed sales in the North are being done 
at $365, also steady with last week's weighted average basis Nebraska.

Beef cutouts are higher at midday (choice 361.91 +1.14, select 360.30 
+0.59) with light to moderate box movement (37.00 lds of choice cuts, 
2.54 lds of select cuts, 4.14 lds of trim, and 9.53 lds of ground). Both 
live and feeder cattle futures are sharply to significantly lower at this 
time.
